High-end Hotel Rates Down 35% From Last Year
High-end hotels around the world are a lot less expensive than they used to be, according to Ovation Travel Group. In a survey of over 92,000 room nights in 30 global destination cities, on average, three-, four-, and five- star properties had lower rates by 17.4% in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the first quarter of 2008. Experiencing the greatest decrease were high-end rooms in Singapore, Delhi, and New York, with rate decreases of 30-35%! Link to article from Travel Agent Central for more insights and graphs.
